A few mindful gratitude routines to help you grow happiness at home!

In our June #togetherwearebettergiveaway Instagram campaign, we've learnt so much from our incredible Sömn Home followers on how they're practicing "mindfulness" and one that really stood out for us was —being grateful.
-
Science shows we can train ourselves to experience gratitude more often simply by paying attention to our lives differently.

If we want to sustain and grow happiness in our daily lives, we should embrace gratitude into every possible moment. Over time, we won’t even have to think about it, and we’ll see the effects in our frame of mind — and possibly in our brains.

Here we share a few mindful gratitude routines that does just that:

1. End the week with a “ta-da” list, rather than a “to-do” list.

Wrap up the week with a new list where you can acknowledge, and therein celebrate, every small and large undertaking that you’ve accomplished during this week. It’s a great way of reminding yourself about all you did do during the day, instead of jumping ahead and thinking about all there's left to do.

2. Reward yourself with a delicious cup of @itsblume elixir for the greatness of eating and drinking well.

Destress, unwind and head straight to relaxation island with Blume's Cacao Turmeric Blend. It's vegan, caffeine and sugar free! Sip sip and zen on with lots of healthiness. There’s a reason why they named this blend ‘Moon Mylk.’

3. When you tuck in for the night: Articulate your love of the bed.

Getting into bed, especially one that is clean and fluffy, is a wonderful thing after a long day. Notice that. Really enjoy it. Maybe even do as Gretchen Rubin does and articulate the “oohs” and “ahhs” of stretching out or curling up. This can actually help you get to bed on time.

4. Do a mindful gratitude body scan by lay on the bed

Start at your feet and work your way up, paying attention to and acknowledging each part of your body. To turn this into a moment of gratitude, thank each part of your body as you work your way up. Be thankful for the blessing of being able to be healthy and active; for what our bodies do for us all day.
